Mission Statement
Our mission at Little Feathers Learning Center is to provide high quality care with nature touches in a safe, nurturing, encouraging, and loving environment that is accessible to all children with various developmental needs, while affordable to all families.
Children of all ages in our center are encouraged to learn by discovery, creativity, expression on natural learning desires, tactile activities, a rich play-based environment that respects the child’s independent self-awareness and validation of emotion’s; with the positive guidance of highly trained early childhood professional’s, who love what we do – building brains!
Vision Statement
We provide a unique, nurturing environment; supporting the whole child in a method that foster’s a solid and strong foundation for children, to promote lifelong learning.
Philosophy
We will always aim to hold the highest attributes to each child's early education journey, we focus on the WHOLE child. Our center’s curriculum is considered an emergent learning curriculum, meaning it is student-focused and implements a variety of learning elements that have been studied for centuries. We implement various elements of Maria Montessori’s methods from preparation of their own foods, the use of manipulatives and puzzles, while developing independence skills for lifelong success. Elements from Waldorf’s method implementing children learn with imaginative play outlets in holistic ways. Jean Piaget’s method that children cognitively develop in stages and from their environment. The Reggio approach of “the hundred languages”, each child has a voice, is unique, carries respect for themselves and other human beings, and that we all grow alongside of each other. Lastly, we implement elements of forest school to get children to become one with the world around them and develop critical thinking skills. All these combined elements create the ultimate hands-on learning environment for young children, while still maintaining standards in each educational areas such as: Science, Math, Dramatic Play, Art expression, Language, Social Studies, Social and Emotional development, Engineering, Fine motor, and Gross motor.

At Little Feathers Learning Center, we understand the importance of flexibility. That's why we offer a range of scheduling options to suit diverse lifestyles, including full-time positions and schedules tailored to college students' class schedules.
Education
At Little Feathers, we're committed to continuous growth. We support our staff through ongoing training, participation in early childhood education conferences, and even funding for staff members pursuing degrees in the field. We're always seeking individuals who share our passion and drive for excellence.
Telehealth
All employees who are registered with the Nevada Registry are eligible for Telehealth. Telehealth includes health, vision, and dental.
Paid Time Off
At Little Feathers Learning Center, we deeply value our employees and recognize their hard work and dedication. We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes paid holidays and paid rest days, providing employees with up to 11 paid time-off days per calendar year, in addition to accumulative paid time off.
